Shhhh… Please do not disturb… Daffodils growing for the Big Day!
Next week I will be inviting volunteers from the Cancer Society to come over and pick the daffodils that have been growing all over the Estate.
Every day I see more and more of them coming through, brightening up the garden with their lovely sunny faces.
For those of you overseas, it’s worth a quick mention that the 31st of August is Daffodil Day here in New Zealand.
Bunches of daffodils are sold all over the country to raise money for the Cancer Society. The proceeds go towards funding scientific research and treatment for all types of cancer.
