Summer is Here!

Wow what great holiday weather we are having at the moment! I make a bit of an effort to do some watering in the early morning and again at night for the garden, but things are really rocketing out of the ground so to speak.
We are having several of our children over at regular intervals so the sun umbrella is permanently up allowing us to enjoy our lunch and dinners outside. It’s a little great device that helps us take advantage of the high temperatures we are having at the moment while still being able to catch the breeze.
The tadpoles are growing fast in the pond and I caught a beautiful heron as well as a kingfisher out on a warm afternoon trying to catch a few.
The young birds are learning how to fly and we’ve caught a few banging into the windows of the conservatory because they haven’t yet learned that it is glass. They smack against it with such force that they end up a bit dazed on the grass for a few minutes before they hop away, hopefully to lick their wounds and get back in the air again.
Luckily there is nothing in their system to think that they should quit after the first attempt.
